The Bismarck Historical Society presents monthly programs on Bismarck history at the Bismarck Public Library and various local sites and produces the podcast History Hotdish and the video series Prairie Pioneers.

History Hotdish

History Hotdish is a casual conversation about the historical people and events – the not-so-secret ingredients – in the recipe of Bismarck’s culture and heritage. Catch “History Hotdish” on Radio Access (102.5 FM) on Wednesdays at 10 AM, Fridays at 1 PM and Sundays at 8 PM. Episodes are also available on-demand here and wherever great podcasts are found.

Prairie Pioneers

Prairie Pioneers is a documentary series recounting the stories of early Bismarck families through oral history interviews. Season One is available on-demand here at our YouTube channel. Stay tuned for Season Two!
